New Super Inlaid Chief Head-dress Mud Face Pendant
This new and super detailed mud face is made by a Master Zuni Artist, "Ruth
Lonjose" .  I have had the chance to pick up several of her and her husbands
pieces over the years, and find that each and every one, just gets better and
better. This piece is made of Sterling Silver, then inlaid with either black onyx or
Jett, Turquoise, Red Coral, and then pen shell for the white.  What they have done
and I find several other Zuni Jewelry makers doing , is after fitting the stones, and
them polishing them, they are covering the entire piece with some type of epoxy
clear to make this brilliant shine as you see this.  Only under extreme
magnification can you see that they are indeed stones.  What a piece of Art Work ,
all by Ruth Lonjose.   1-1/4" tall by about 3/4" wide.  Not counting the bail. #cep-40

New Sterling Silver, Stone inlaid Turtle of all Turtles
This is the Turtle of all Turtles.  I just found this and another one last Friday over in
Zuni , New Mexico on a buying trip.  This is one I could not leave without.  It is just
so different, starting with the Sterling Silver , Inlaid with Malachite, Turquoise, Red
Coral, Jett and M.O.P. Which is  the "white Stripe" on the body and the main
component of the head.  This has the loop to allow it to hang as a pendant and the
pin which allows it to double as a broach should you wish.  Would also make a
fantastic lapel pin on your jacket.  Now , this Turtle, measures about 1-3/4" long by
about 1-1/4" wide across his little toes.  Signed on the back for the Native
American Jewelry Maker "W.J.H.",  Zuni   #cep-39

Big Beautiful Vintage Zuni Pendant or Broach.  Zuni Sun Face
This is a incredibly well made Zuni Chiefton Headdress Sun-Face.  It is made of
M.O.P., Red Coral, Turquoise and Jett.  The craftsmanship is beyound what you
would go to expect on jewelry of this nature.  This is a recent estate find, and
could be about 40 years old, but do not think it was ever worn more then a couple
of times.  Not signed, but not at all unusual for the Zuni a few years back.
Measures about 1-1/2" in diameter.  kkv-1001
