| This amazing pendant or pin, besides being versatile enough to be worn as both, is a very nice creation by Phyllis Lonjose, a Native American jewelry maker from the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico. This very lovely piece of inlay work has been signed too, but is regrettably not very easy to read. I do however guarantee that this piece is authentic Zuni jewelry, as anything sold on the reservation there, has to be the real thing. Reproductions, imports, copies and fakes are strictly not allowed and the Indians take this very seriously indeed. This beautiful piece measures about 1'' in diameter, and is made of sterling silver, stabilized turquoise, jet, red coral and mother of pearl. Thank you for your interest in this very lovely work of art. C.O.A. Included with purchase Item ID: ck-70 |
| This incredible piece of inlay is created by Randolph Lateyice, Native American Zuni Inlay Artist. This man does some of the nicest inlay on the Zuni reservation. Measures about 2-1/2'' from the tip of the head to the tip of the center dangling tail. About 1-1/8'' widest at the wing tips. Created using Sterling Silver for the base, all natural Turquoise, Jet, Red Corral and MOP . The three dangling tail feathers are each about 1/2'' long not counting their bail's and about 1/4'' wide. Signed on the back, and this beautiful piece has the bail on the back to make a fantastic pendant and the broach pin allows you to pin in on a garmet if you wish. I obtain all of my Zuni jewelry on the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico where fakes, copies, imports or reproductions of any kind are not allowed to be sold on the reservation. | This is a new pendant , made by Zuni Jewelry Maker Effie Calavazas. She is still making jewelry , although at 83 years old, I don't know for how much longer. My advise is if you like her work witch is legendary, you would want to get some of it now, as sooner or later it will stop coming. Then the price of course will go sky high. As ususal , Effie, features the "Snake" as I have only seen a few pieces made many years ago that she did not feature it. This pendant is about 1-3/8'' long over all , counting the snake which turns into the bail. It is not just a ring attached as so many pieces are, and about 5/8'' wide. If features two small nuggets of Turquoise , each about 3/16'' in size, and both are different and natural looking. Effie usually , like this piece , uses natural Turquoise for all of her work. The eyes of the snake also of course are made of Turquoise, although very tiny. Signed on the back Effie C. Which is her registered trademark and also Zuni. Sterling Silver and simply beautiful. C.O.A. included with purchase. Item ID: ce-p022 |
