Native American Zuni Sterling Silver, Inlaid Sun Face Earrings, Studs
| This delightful little pair of stud earrings, was made by Native American Zuni artist, Wayne Hooee Junior. They have been hand-crafted of sterling silver, turquoise, jet, red coral and mother of pearl. The little silver heart mounts measure approximately 5/8'' wide, the actual sun face inlay is about 1/4'' diameter, and is surrounded by silver twisted rope-work. These were collected by myself from the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico, where no imports, copies or fakes of any kind are allowed. A fantastic and delicate little set. Thank you for your interest. Dragon Fly Inlaid Earrings Zuni Signed Sterling Silver & Turquoise
| Welcome. This is a nice and new pair of Dragonfly Earrings that are made of sterling silver.and then inlaid with Turquoise. These are made by a Zuni with the initials of "EE" and are a remarkable piece of art work. The inlay Turquoise in the wings are each about 1/16'' wide at the end of the teardrop and about 1/4'' long. Imagine the amount of work to just hold these and grind them down to the size you need to fit ! I have watched these people do it, and it really amazes me. Incredible patience involved. The over all size of these delicate earrings is about 1-3/8'' from the tip of the tail to the top of the post which also contains a cab of Turquoise about 1/8'' in diameter. They are first of all made and sold to me on the Native American Zuni Indian Reservation in New Mexico. All items sold there are guaranteed to be authentic in all details, as no copies, fakes or imports of any kind are allowed to be sold as "Zuni Made" otherwise. These fantastic new design earrings are all made with small somewhat round cabs of Turquoise. I say somewhat round, as each stone is different and there can be no doubt hand made. Each earring has 9 separate stones of Turquoise, which is each hand made so shape and size of each is different. Range in size from about 1/16'' to about 1/8'' in size all mounted in sterling silver.for your lifetime of enjoyment. They measure about 2'' total from the top of the double stone/stud to the bottom of the hoop. About 3/4'' wide at the middle of the lower hoop. Includes C.O.A. with purchase. | Well, here we have another pair of incredible drop earrings made by the Zuni Jewelry Maker M.Noche. He does some of the best inlay work on the planet, and after looking at these, you will agree. Made of Sterling Silver, then inlaid with Turquoise, Red Coral, M.O.P. and finallly Jet, these show off their stuff. Measure about 1-1/2" long from the top of the Turquoise stud to the bottom of the dangle. Signed on the back. |
