This is a new find from an estate sale. It is as if it were never worn. The lady said that it is one of the items that she had never seen her aunt wear before, and found it wrapped up in a drawer. It is Old Bell which is a piece that the Indians sold to the Bell Trading posts which once littered Old Route 66 between Arizona and New Mexico. I would estimate this piece to be from about the mid-70's as the Bell Logo dictates. It is about 1-1/8'' wide in the center , tapering down to about 5/8'' wide on the ends. Measures about 5-1/4'' on the inside of the band with an additional 1-1/8'' opening. It can be very easily bent either open or closed to make a much more comfortable fit. Solid Copper and marked as most of the Old Bell is Item ID: kk-516
This is another great find of the century. A solid copper pendant and chain from the old route 66 era. I believe this to be from the old Hubble Trading Post as the insignia all but says that and I have also been told that this is yet another logo for Old Bell. This piece is like new, having been kept put in a drawer all of these years. The lady I purchased this from said she had bought it as a souvenir about 30 years ago on a trip out west. The pendant measures about 2'' wide and about 2-3/8'' tall not counting the bail. The chain opens and closes firmly and is about 24'' long, and is as bright and shiny as the day it was made. Thank-you for your interest in this as new Old Bell type necklace made and sold by the SouthWest Indians back in the 60's Item ID:kkobp-01
Hello. This is a vintage Solid Copper Thunder bird and braided link chain from around the late 60's - mid 70's. It was made by the Native Americans in the southwest, usually the Navajo's for sale to the old Trading Post's along old Route 66 such as Hubble, and Bell along with all the Jack-a-Lope places that were prominent along the route. This beautiful vintage Thunder bird measures about 2-7/8'' from the top of the bail to the bottom of the feathers. It measures about 1-3/4'' wide tip of wing to tip of wing. The chain is braided or stranded copper wire, turned into chain links to form this beautiful 24'' long chain. Copper considered the healing metal of the Navajo's, gives you a healing property as well as a very rare and unique pendant and chain. Thanks for your interest. Item ID: KK-218
This vintage Native American Necklace is made of Solid Copper and Turquoise. The Turquoise is for sure Faux, but does really look nice. It measures about 3/8'' x 5/8'' in size. The overall measurements of the Pendant are about 2'' x 2-1/2'' not counting the bail. Chain is also of solid Copper and opens and closes as you can see from the photo. It is marked Solid Copper, and there is some kind of symbol there but cannot read it. Could be a Bell or even a Feather. Will let you decide. Patina is all original and this piece would have to be from the early 60's or even early 70's. They were readily available from almost all of the old tourist stops along old Route 66 way back when. ( I remember) shh Thanks for your interest in this really nice older piece of Native American History The chain is about 22'' long overall. Item ID: KK-225
This is an oldie for sure. It is about 5'' measured on the inside of the band with an additional 7/8'' opening , which will give you a wrist size of about 5-7/8'' total. Could be bent slightly with little or no effect to make it fit a little better, I would consider this a young lady or small wrist bracelet. About 5/16'' wide. Lots of Patina, which will have to be your choice as to whether to remove it or leave it. It is marked on the inside, but cannot tell you what it says. This reminds me of the old Bell or Hubble trading post items which were made for the tourists back on the old Route 66 days. Thanks for your interest Item #353
| This is one of the vintage pieces from the old Hubble Trading posts of Rte.66 way back, when driving was an adventure rather then something we just take for granted. It measures about 2'' wide by about 1-1/2'' tall, and is in very good condition. Not signed as most items back then were not. Free shipping anywhere in the U.S.A. including tracking and ins. | Incredible find from an estate sale over the weekend. This is an Old Bell Necklace from about the 60,s of which is in pretty mint condition. I do not think it has been worn much as there is not really much patina. The main pendant measures about 2-3/8'' tall by about 2'' wide. The Turquoise cab inserted I believe is stabilized and measures about 1-1/8'' wide by about 1-1/2'' tall. The double copper chain is about 30'' in length and there are about 5 spots on it where it must have overlaid each other. No damage to it though. This would have to be considered a very very rare piece of Old Bell Copper and Turquoise Jewelry kk-600 |
