Zuni Hand Carved Roadrunner Fetish. Antler - Turquoise
This is a new fetish just finished by Zuni Carver Kenny Panteah. I
have put in several pictures of Kenny holding this and other fetish's
he has just finished carving. I met him yesterday in Zuni where I was
at to buy jewelry and found him quite by accident. He does beautiful
work, and I only wish I had had more money with me to buy them all.
This Fetish, expertly carved , with nice deep carvings and lines
which really bring out the detail, is about 3'' long from nose to tail,
and stands about 5/8'' tall and is also about 3/4'' wide. The eyes are
inlaid turquoise "buttons " which are very small and about 1/16'' in

American Zuni carver, Jonathon Natewa. Jonathan lives on the
reservation of Zuni, New Mexico, a place where no copies, fakes,
imports or reproductions of any kind are allowed to be sold. This
fantastic bear is carved from black marble, and stands about 2-1/4''
tall, 3-1/'' long, and measures about 7/8'' thick in average. The
workmanship is stunning to say the least. All the lines you see are
like scrimshaw and very intricate in detail. The 'bear' is the Zuni
symbol representing strength. Truly an incredible piece of art to
